United Hub at the Inaugural Seattle Asian Culture Gala

On September 22, 2024, United Hub proudly served as a Gold Sponsor and co-host of the inaugural Seattle Asian Culture Gala at Beaver Lake Lodge in Sammamish. This vibrant cultural celebration attracted over 700 attendees and was organized in collaboration with 10 community organizations.

Cultural Contributions

The event showcased a diverse array of performances, including traditional dances, martial arts demonstrations, and musical pieces, reflecting the rich tapestry of Asian cultures. As part of our commitment to cultural enrichment, United Hub contributed a traditional Chinese instrumental performance, featuring the piece "妆台思秋" ("Autumn Thoughts at the Dressing Table"). This performance transported the audience back over a thousand years to the Tang Dynasty, evoking the classical melodies reminiscent of the renowned "笑傲江湖" ("Swordsman") theme.

Community Outreach and Advocacy

United Hub leveraged the event as a platform to advocate for the Washington State Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) Program. This initiative, funded by the state's Climate Commitment Act, offers rebates to low- and moderate-income households, small businesses, and adult family homes to purchase and install high-efficiency electric equipment and appliances. The program aims to reduce climate pollution, create jobs, and improve public health by facilitating the adoption of energy-efficient technologies. Washington State Department of Commerce

During the gala, United Hub engaged with attendees to raise awareness about the HEAR program's benefits and eligibility criteria. Our outreach efforts focused on informing the community about the availability of rebates for energy-efficient appliances such as heat pumps, water heaters, and electric cooking equipment. By providing information and resources, we aimed to empower individuals and families to make informed decisions about upgrading to cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions.
