United Hub received requests from several seniors in our community who needed help with computers, cell phones, and AI tools. To respond, two college students volunteered their time and reserved a room at the Redmond Library, which is conveniently within walking distance from their homes.

During the session, the students patiently guided seniors through practical challenges such as using their devices more effectively, navigating apps, and exploring how AI tools can support daily life. This interaction not only provided immediate technical solutions but also built seniors’ confidence in using technology more independently.

This gathering reflects more than a simple exchange of knowledge. It shows the value of intergenerational connection—where young people contribute their skills, and seniors feel supported and included in today’s digital world. The library setting created a welcoming, accessible environment that reinforced community bonds.

By linking seniors’ needs with student volunteers’ willingness to serve, United Hub is fostering a culture of mutual respect, learning, and empowerment. This event demonstrates how small, localized efforts can have meaningful impacts, bridging gaps between generations and strengthening our community as a whole.
