On Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the Redmond Library, United Hub joined 10 other community-based organizations to host Art in Growth. The event brought together over one hundred attendees, both in-person and online, and featured four guest speakers who shared their personal journeys and insights.

The goal of Art in Growth was to give back to the local community by inspiring parents and students who share a passion for the arts. Each speaker offered perspectives on topics such as artistic inspiration, lessons learned along the way, supporting young people in pursuing their passions, and the evolving role of technology in the future of art.

Guest speakers included:
YoAhn Han, professor at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD)
Jessica Ruan, former PAA president and rising senior at RISD
Rebecca Wu, 8th grader and winner of the 2023 Google Doodle
Jiayuan Huang, a technology leader specializing in AI and security at Microsoft

Planning for Art in Growth began nearly a year in advance and included securing a suitable venue, connecting with professional artists, organizing the event schedule, and preparing thoughtful questions for the panel. Thank you to all the volunteers who lent a hand to make this event possible by bringing technology, setting up the conference, and sharing the event to others!
