United Hub is proud to announce that we have been awarded funding through the King County Veterans, Seniors, and Human Services Levy (VSHSL) under the Vets Engaged program. This partnership with the King County Department of Community and Human Services (Adult Services Division) provides $18,000 in support for a community initiative celebrating Asian American veterans and their families.

Through this project, United Hub will host an Asian American Veterans Appreciation Event in late 2025. The event will create a welcoming and intergenerational space where veterans, servicemembers, and community members can connect through shared culture, wellness, and gratitude. Planned activities include tai chi, acupressure, herbal tea, and health education, along with culturally meaningful performances, food, and storytelling.

The goal of this initiative is to bridge the military–civilian divide and strengthen the sense of belonging among veterans within King County’s diverse communities. By centering Asian American veterans’ experiences, we hope to foster dialogue, healing, and lasting connections across generations.

United Hub is honored to collaborate with King County VSHSL on this meaningful effort and looks forward to celebrating the service and contributions of our veterans and their families.
